Yoanna Prodanova (cello)

Following last year’s hugely successful Bach Cello Suites concert by Thomas Carroll, the cycle continues this year with the 5th and 6th Suites played by the gloriously talented, Bulgarian-Canadian cellist, Yoanna Prodanova. A vision from the future creeps into the mystical, medieval setting of the Tattershall Church with a Sonata by one of the most exciting American composers of today, George Crumb, celebrating his 90th birthday. Yoanna will also treat us to the Song of the Birds by Pablo Casals and tell us the story of how he made the Bach Suites famous after they were forgotten for centuries.
