One of the most respected and sought-after clarinettists in the world comes to Lincoln to open this year’s Festival: Andrew Marriner, soloist, chamber musician and principal of the London Symphony Orchestra for over 30 years, brings some of his own arrangements to delight audiences, including Beethoven’s stunning Romance. Rising star cellist, Yoanna Prodanova and pianist-composer, Alissa Firsova, perform Firsova’s Fantasy before joining Andrew for one of Brahms’s most tantalising works, the Clarinet Trio, and the flavours of this vibrant programme continue in France with Saint-Saëns, and Italy with Verdi and Giamperi, topped off in Argentina by Piazzolla.
Alissa Firsova (piano), Andrew Marriner (clarinet) & Yoanna Prodanova (cello)
