‘The Tippett Quartet’s performances are little short of astonishing’ according to The Times. In the final concert of the festival the Tippett Quartet returns to LICMF to perform classics by Haydn and Mozart alongside a recent work by Alissa Firsova inspired by the poetry of Lincolnshire-born Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Alissa joins the quartet for a performance of Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet, one of the most important works in this form.
